Sony™ 74 Minute MiniDisc™
Just 2 3/4" x 2 5/8" x 1/8" |
Sony™ MZ-B100
|
In addition to an analog stereo input and a mini-optical digital input, these players also sport a USB connection, allowing you to transfer Wave, MP3, and Windows Media files directly to your MiniDisc™, at blazingly fast speed (up to 32x - dub an hour of music in two minutes!)
Also included are two applications fully compatible with Windows® 98 and above, OpenMG™ Jukebox and Simple Burner QuickRip™. OpenMG™ Jukebox is a convenient music manager, which helps you transfer and keep track of your music library - it can even work in conjunction with RealOne™ Player. Simple Burner QuickRip™ enables you to digitally transfer the content of any audio CD from your CD-ROM drive directly to MiniDisc™.
Square Dance Callers and Round Dance Cuers will be amazed at how helpful these MiniDisc™ recorders are.
The player itself weighs four ounces without batteries and measures only 3 1/4" x 3" x 1 1/8".
The MiniDisc™ cartridges are just 2 3/4" x 2 5/8" x 1/8" - no more carrying a heavy record case!
Sony™ MD Recorder/Player
With Variable Speed Conversion! (Previous model MZ-R700 pictured with variable speed conversion module)
|
Controls include: Record, Pause, Play, Stop, Fast Forward/Reverse, Track Mark, End Search, Erase, Title/Enter, +/- Volume Control, and Bass Boost, with feedback from a LCD Mode/Display. Stop playback at any point, press play again and the music starts to play or record where you left off!
Inputs and outputs include a Headphone Jack (1/8" mini stereo),
Line and mini-optical inputs, and a line output jack (1/8" mini stereo). The MZ-N707 also
includes a minijack microphone input.
The stereo analog output allows these players to attach just like a tape deck -
they can plug into the tape, line, or CD input on your sound system, or to the “Tape Playback Input”
jack (RCA phono) on most Hilton sound systems (also requires optional #18006 “Y” adapter).
The Sony™ MXD-D40 now includes Variable Speed Control! Other model MiniDisc recorder/players do not have variable speed unless ordered with that option. Stereo connecting cord (Stereo RCA phono to 1/8" Mini Stereo). Blank MiniDisc not included. Optional “Y” adapter and optional Hilton Line Level Booster needed for playback with Hilton sound.
Designed to increase the lower-than-normal signal output from Sony MiniDisc™ players (and work well with other devices) Hilton Signal boosters increase the audio output level into your Hilton sound system. They come in either Monaural or Stereo. The Monaural unit has a 1/8” stereo plug (for portable systems such as the MZ-R700).
The Stereo unit has either a 1/8” stereo plug (for portable systems such as the MZ-R700) or 2 RCA plugs (for component systems such as the MXD-D40) on a short lead which connect to the minidisc player. Please specify which MiniDisc™ you have and with which Hilton your booster will be used with so that we may help you select the correct stereo model.
It's really easy to get confused about hooking up MiniDisc® players to various sound systems. First some comments on the necessity of using a Signal Booster and then on to cable hookups!
SIGNAL BOOSTERS:
Signal boosters are needed for PLAYBACK (only) on Hilton sound systems which use an 89 series cartridge/needle. These are the ones which look like a small torpedo (pictured right). The newer needles used on all "C" Series units as well as all recent models do not require the use of a signal booster.
Designed to increase the lower-than-normal signal output from Sony MiniDisc® players (and work well with other devices) Hilton Signal boosters increase the audio output level into your Hilton sound system. They come in either Monaural or Stereo.
The Monaural (pictured right - $59.95) unit has a 1/8" stereo plug (for portable systems such as the MZ-R700 or MZ-R90/55).
The Stereo (pictured left - $49.95) unit has either a 1/8" stereo plug (for portable systems such as the MZ-R700 or MZ-R90) or 2 RCA plugs (for component systems such as the MDS-940) on a short lead which connect to the minidisc player. Please specify which MiniDisc® you have and with which Hilton your booster will be used so that we may help you select the correct stereo model.
CABLES & ADAPTERS:
It's important to have adequate cables and adapters to ensure that connect to all systems. The following four cables and adapters should cover all Hilton sound system inputs and outputs.
